Why did we receive a check?
You may be visiting this site because your organization received a check or other payment from Benevity. This was made possible by employees or customer’s of Benevity’s corporate clients donating to your cause using Benevity’s online Goodness platform. The funds were then disbursed to you through the American Online Giving Foundation and may include one or more individual donations as well as matching funds and corporate grants from one or more Benevity clients.

How does American Online Giving Foundation help charities like ours?
The American Online Giving Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Serving a national constituency, AOGF’s primary purpose is to raise funds for charitable purposes and make distributions to other charitable entities by way of donor advised funds. The AOGF utilizes Benevity’s online donation platform to aggregate and disburse charitable donations to eligible organizations and issues tax receipts, reducing some of the administrative costs that may be associated with receiving funds from corporate workplace giving, matching and volunteering programs. By creating a rich profile on the Benevity Causes Portal, your organization can also gain access to additional donors, share your impact stories, create volunteering or other projects, and more.

How can we access donor information and donation reports?
You can see online donation reports, donor comments, and monthly breakdowns for this and other disbursements at the Benevity Causes Portal. Follow the instructions provided to register and complete your Charity Profile. Once your organization’s information is confirmed you will be able to access donor information and reports.

How can we receive future disbursements electronically?
Uncashed, lost, misdirected and/or reissued checks and payment delays are a huge problem in the corporate giving landscape that frustrates everyone and holds back the growth and potential of charities. AOGF and Benevity are dedicated to helping charities receive more donations through electronic means, helping your organization eliminate the time and expense associated with checks. Here’s how it works:

  • Go to the Benevity Causes Portal.
  • Sign in to your organization’s Charity Profile after registering.
  • Click “Donation Method” in the left navigation and follow the steps provided to set up EFT or other electronic payment.
